CHART

a way of presenting data in visual form. Basically, we divide TIME SERIES charts, showing data within a period of time (in hours/days/weeks etc.) and CROSS - SECTIONAL charts, where we show the "structure" of a phenomenon pictured by the data.

TIME SERIES

a way of presenting the data in a period of time, divided by hours / days / weeks etc. The most common for showing this kind of data are LINE CHARTS and COLUMN CHARTS.

OPERATIONAL DASHBOARD

is a more detailed form of the INTERACTIVE DASHBOARD / DASHBOARD, dedicated to analysts, enabling a more detailed analysis of a given business area (finance, sales, etc.), usually consisting of multiple slides, depending on the needs. See also INTERACTIVE DASHBOARD and MANAGERIAL DESKTOP.

MANAGERIAL DASHBOARD

it is usually a one-slide INTERACTIVE DASHBOARD with the most important KPIs, visually presented in a dynamic and interactive form, dedicated to managers.

HEATMAP

is a kind of GRAPH showing the intensity of a phenomenon, usually expressed with more or less intense colors (hence the name). An example would be a map of the world, showing, for example, the amount of income per capita of each country in the world in a certain intensity of colors. Thanks to this technique, we can very quickly assess the "hierarchy" of a phenomenon that is broken down into specific types of categories (such as countries).

INTERACTIVE DASHBOARD

Interactive dashboards serve as "customized information windows" for company's performance (any division) and help harness the flood of data the company has to cope with, in the everchanging world,

INFOGRAPHIC

a type of one-slide DATA VISUALIZATION, which in a simplified and possibly comprehensive way illustrates a given phenomenon, using specific statistics and CHARTS. Also check the CROSS-SECTION DATA and TIME SERIES.

CROSS – SECTIONAL DATA

a way of presenting data, where we show the "structure" of a phenomenon pictured by the data. The most common charts for this are PIE CHARTS.
